@gpage Hey Grayson, I stayed with Mastodon because moving the backend to Pleroma or Akkoma seemed very complicated while keeping the same domain. I could not encounter anyone that did it successfully.

I did not want to change the domain (or subdomain) or lose my followers.

After the disk usage issue was resolved, the Mastodon instance got very stable.

@gpage Now, I have even removed all the relays (which has lowered the CPU usage and storage considerably) in favor of github.com/g3rv4/GetMoarFedive

If I started from scratch I would look at the alternatives, no doubt, before committing to a backend.
